The idea of this project is to create an additional space for two children. Designed by Jan De Vylder Architecten, this contemporary home addition looks very contrast with the existing building. Build on the top of the house, this loft-like bedroom has an unusual roof construction. The structure and form of the roof make this additional space look very attractive, while the dark exterior is very eye-catching. Situated in Gentbrugge, the interior of this space is made of natural wood from the floor to ceiling. The ceilings are left with an exposed timber and create a warm rustic look to the interior. The bedroom space is large enough to accommodate bedroom and also a study desk for both children. Since not anyone has backyard, building an extra space on the roof could be a great idea.
