Z House – An Amazing Contemporary House in South Korea
This Z-shaped house is an amazing example of concrete and wood architecture. Creatively designed by architecture firm Hohyun Park + Hyunjoo Kim, this Z House looks so contemporary and unique. Built in a steep hill and forest area which is located in Gwangju Si, Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea; make this house has many layers and design for comfortable living place. The upper level of this house is covered with black zinc which creates a contrary effect with the lower level that is covered with basalt. Completed with water pond and inner plant at the crossing point of the lower and upper level make this house looks more natural. You can find the kitchen, dining room and living room in the ground floor and the upper floor is dedicated to children rooms and master bedroom. The high ceiling is made to ease the sunlight and fresh air circulation into the house. Z House will bring dynamic and peaceful feeling for everyone’s inside.
